Job Description:

Oxford Talks is seeking a creative and driven Social Media Manager to oversee the social media presence of our organisation. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engage with our audience, and drive traffic to our website. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms, as well as experience in creating and managing social media content.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and website traffic.
  • Create and manage engaging social media content (including graphics, videos, and written content) for various platforms such as LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X.
  • Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics to make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, communications, and events) to ensure social media strategies align with overall organizational goals.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns to reach targeted audiences
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to inform strategies and tactics.
  • Respond to social media inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify and leverage social media influencers and brand ambassadors to increase reach and engagement.
  • Develop and manage relationships with media outlets and journalists to promote events and other organizational initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing social media content (including graphics, videos, and written content)
  • Experience in social media advertising, including audience targeting and campaign management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.) is a plus
  • Passion for education and a desire to work for an organization committed to promoting knowledge and learning
